The National Biodiesel Board (NBB) is the national trade association representing the biodiesel industry in the United States. Biodiesel is a domestic, renewable fuel for diesel engines derived from natural oils like soybean oil, and which meets the specifications of ASTM D 6751.The European Algae Association
The European Algae Association (EAA) is the European Chapter of the American-based National Algae Association. Both are non-profit organisations. The EAA promotes the exchange of information and collaboration between researchers, investors and companies involved with algae cultivation, algal oil and biofuel technology. It gives its members a forum to efficiently evaluate various algae technologies for potential early stage company opportunities The primary objectives are to: - • Promote commercialisation of algae technologies through collaboration. • Encourage better communication between researchers and producers. • Educate the public & media. • Form a research advisory team • Increase the awareness of fuels and plastics industries • Attract investors The next meeting will be held in February in the UK.
